The 24th Bakery China organized by China Association of Bakery and Confectionery Industry and the Bakery China Exhibition Co., Ltd. will be held at NECC Shanghai from September 19 to 22, 2022. As the annual gathering for bakery and confectionery industry, Bakery China since 2016 has achieved the largest scale trade show, dedicated to a comprehensive product display involving the entire industry chain. In 2022, Bakery China continues establishing its ecosystem with enhanced and innovative online digital services. From April to July, Bakery China launched virtual B2B exhibitions and matchmaking conferences on multiple themes, such as the moon cake festival, the pre-made bakery festival, the healthy bakery festival, the home-baking festival and the supply chain innovation festival, which attracted more than 2 million online views. What’s more, Bakery China has promoted nearly 10,000 online business inquiries and transactions. It boosted the confidence of the industry and the market by expanding business opportunities, enhancing communications, ensuring growth, and identifying trends.

Bringing both efficiency and enjoyment, pre-made bakery is certainly a hot topic of the industry. Since 2019, Bakery China has set up a special exhibition area for companies in pre-made bakery. In May 2022, it launched the first online Pre-Made Bakery Festival and released the first 2C and 2B Report with T-mall and CIB, promoting the sound development of this market. There are many long-established brands in the bakery and confectionery industry, and some of them are very innovative. According to Deloitte, China had opened 108,000 cafés by the end of 2020. Similarly, the latest data published by Meituan indicates that as of the first half of 2021, there had been 390,000 bakeries in China, nearly five times the number of cafés. Therefore, we believe that coffee should not be confined to cafés; it can reach a broader market – bakeries. The Coffee and Beverage China, running concurrently with Bakery China, will provide a fantastic platform for those who have integrated coffee and beverages with bakery. Bakery China主办单位中国焙烤食品糖制品工业协会,下属20个专业委员会,其中有多个专委会覆盖了糕点、饼干、膨化食品、方便食品、冷冻食品、糖果、果脯蜜饯、巧克力、果冻、胶基糖果。自今年起,以上10类产品将在“高端成品和休闲食品展区“进行整合整理和专业细分展示,联袂展会同期举办的“烘焙咖啡与休闲食品市集”为行业呈现“焙烤+”跨界融合的勃勃生机。
The China Association of Bakery and Confectionery Industry, the organizer of Bakery China, has 20 professional committees covering pastries, biscuits, puffed food, convenience food, frozen food, candy, preserved fruit, chocolate, jelly, and gum-based candy. This year, these categories will be displayed in the Fine Food and Snack China. Together with the coffee and beverage brands the Bakery+Coffee Market will be showcase at North Entrance Hall.
